Accumulation of a static charge on escalator handrails is a common problem. Modern escalators provide devices to discharge this accumulated charge to a ground, minimizing the negative effects to the riding public.
If the escalator model you’re servicing is not equipped with a discharge device, these grounded discharge rollers can be quickly and easily added, providing enhanced safety and comfort to the riding public.
Our Escalator Handrail Static Discharge Rollers come in a kit of two roller assemblies (PN KM51154395R01) designed to provide a conductive path from each of the handrails to an earth ground.
